The Role 

The Equipment Operator III will be highly skilled in operating heavy equipment, including equipment such as excavators and graders. This position is responsible for the safe and skilled operation of equipment owned or leased by the Town.?This position will also be required to perform a wide variety of duties and tasks associated with position descriptions of equal or lesser responsibilities as well as have mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills as well as leadership and organizational skillsIncluding area includes Water Distribution, Wastewater Collection and Storm Sewer system 


To be successful you will have a grade 12 education or equivalent. In addition, you will have a valid Class 1Q Alberta driver’s license. Must be skilled at operating heavy equipment with five (5) years related; You will be able to demonstrate your knowledge of the practices, procedures and principles used in all aspects of maintenance and repair of water meters, valves, hydrants, isolation and check valves, water mains, sanitary sewer mains, storm mains, catch basins, water and sewer services.  Water and sewer installations as well as other excavation jobs.
